Jeff Willis is the President of Willis Marine Center and has been at the helm for 34 years. A lifelong sailor and sailboat racer, Jeff actively races his J/44 "Challenge IV" in everything from the Newport Bermuda Race (1st is class 1994) to Block Island Race Week (1st in class 2005 & 2007) and many, many Long Island Sound races. Jeff has successfully campaigned his series' of boats all named Challenge from the 1976 C&C 33 to the current J/44.

When not on the race course, Jeff is actively running the boatyard and marina as well as handling the day to day business operations.

Jeff and his wife, Linda, have been married for 39 years and have three sons.

Dick Willis has been running the yard since 1958. Dick and his brother Jeff took over and started Willis Marine Center in 1975.

Dick runs all of the heavy machinery and is responsible for hauling, launching and orchestrating the puzzle of boats that we call winter storage. Dick has a lifetime of experience in handling boats and you will not find anyone, anywhere with more talent in this field. His wealth of knowledge of the marine industry and the boats themselves is vast. Dick's "local knowledge" of the boat business in Huntington is tremendous and very interesting.

David has been involved in every facet of the business over the past 20 years. He has run the sales division for the past 15 years in addition to keeping a hand in the yard operation.

David is a lifelong sailor and racing enthusiast. His sailing focus is on the racing, but an occassional daysail is enjoyed too. David has competed in 9 Newport Bermuda Races, 2 Marblehead to Halifax Races, 17 Block Island Race Weeks, 5 Around Long Island Races, 3 Block Island Races, Key West Race Week & hundreds of other races in everything from dinghy's to 66'.

David has the distinction of being awarded the prestigious "Beneteau Top Gun" award in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2005, & 2006 for being one of the top Beneteau Salesman in the country. In addition, David was named Sabre Yachts "Broker of the Year" in 2004.

David is a Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB) - the first on Long Island! This is a program through the Yacht Broker's Association of America (YBAA) that requires endorsement from the yacht brokerage industry as well as passing a stringent exam that requires knowledge of all facets of the Yacht Brokerage business.

In his free time, David enjoys spending time with his four children as well as skiing and golf. David is also a 18 year member and ex-Captain of the Halesite Fire Department.

Karen has been the Bookkeeper at WMC for the past five years and is also responsible for our sales office reception and sales department support. Karen is the friendly voice you hear when you call Willis Marine.

Dave has been with WMC for 19 years. He is our dockmaster and is responsible for the electronics installations, rigging, and general commissioning on our new boats as well as our existing customers.

Dave is a Vietnam Veteran and has been involved in the marine industry for many years. Dave was hired as sailboat division manager for Seaford Marine and also served as Demo & Delivery Captain for Hunter, Catalina, & Hobicat. He has owned eight boats over the years and has been sailing for 52 years!

Dave and his wife, Harriet, enjoy cruising their Allmand 31 "Harrid" out of WMC and Ketewomoke Yacht Club.

Dwight has been with WMC for 15 years. He is a key member of the yard crew and is responsible for hauling & launching boats, mechanical repairs such as shafts, props, rudders, engine removals & re-installations.

Dwight is very talented and does everything from running the travelift to repairing the heavy equipment and welding.

Dwight and his wife Trish enjoy cruising on their 48' Viking TIMING with their daughters, Tian & Alexa.

Todd literally grew up at Willis Marine. He has been around the yard his whole life and has been involved in many different aspects of the business.

Todd is a graduate of The Knox School and Roger Williams University. He is an avid sailor and powerboater. Todd has completed 5 Newport-Bermuda Races, numerous Block Island Race Weeks and hundreds of other races in many different boats.

Todd is responsible for overseeing the launch and gas dock operations, sailboat rigging, and shrinkwrapping.

Ernest is our brightwork, bottom paint, and framing expert. Ernest has been with WMC for many, many years both as a night watchman and as a key member of our yard crew.

A native of Grenada, Ernest worked for many years in the sail business with Spencer Sails before coming to WMC.

Outside of work, Ernest enjoys sailing and is an avid New York Mets fan.

Bruce is our mechanical expert. He handles all of the winterizing & commissioning of systems, troubleshooting and repair of engines, generators, and general systems.

Bruce has a lifetime of experience in the marine industry and has been with WMC for six years.

Bob joined our team about 3 years ago and has been a tremendous asset to our dock staff. Bob has been running the launch and overseeing the gas dock operation for WMC after a career in the telephone industry.

Bob and his wife Elizabeth are members of Ketewomoke Yacht Club. They enjoy sailing their Catalina 36 "Elizabeth Kate" out of Huntington.
