The North Pacific 28’ Pilothouse is the perfect pocket trawler; large enough to be spacious and provide comfort during extended trips, but small enough to trailer without a permit. The concept is wonderful, providing people with the ability to economically cruise Alaska in the summer, Florida in the winter and all the lakes and campgrounds in between. We first saw the design for the North Pacific 28’ Pilothouse featured in Passagemaker Magazine in 2007 as a Chesapeake Marine Design (link: http://www.cmdboats.com/index.htm) created by Karl Stambaugh. Right away we loved the design. The design fit in well with the North Pacific fleet and after doing more research we found that there was a growing demand for this type of boat and this particular design. We worked with Karl and he modified the hull, adding stability and speed to the existing design. Some other key design features that are encorporated are a full body salon for maximum space, large windows, glass doors, open space and hatches add to the open feel. The NP28 is built to the same standards as all our other yachts and so share common features like the easy access to all equipment, a solid low-maintenance exterior and a warm, beautifully finished teak interior. Explore the website more and see if the 28 is the right yacht for you.
